The spreadsheet bulk uploads are designed to streamline the process of launching advertising campaigns, by efficiently allowing record uploads using a CSV format. This is especially useful when handling large volumes of data.
To facilitate the use of bulk uploads via spreadsheet, a is available for your convenience.
While drawing inspiration from the legacy Amazon bulk upload format, it is structured for clarity and efficiency:
Color-coded campaign types: Each campaign type is uniquely identified with a specific color, making it easy to distinguish between different campaign categories at a glance.
Hierarchy level color coding: Similarly, each hierarchy level within the campaigns is marked with a unique color value, streamlining the process of understanding and navigating through different levels of the campaign structure.
Structure
The template offers two proposed structures
Basic structure demonstration: The "example" tab within the template showcases the most fundamental structure, which includes an automatic campaign and two manual campaigns (one for keywords and one for product targeting). This tab serves as a practical guide for users new to the platform or those seeking a refresher on the basic campaign setup.
Choose the file you wish to upload*.
Review the preview of the records in the uploaded file. Once satisfied, click “Approve all” to finalize the upload.
How the upload process works
Processing queue: After uploading, the campaigns will be added to a processing queue. The system will take some time to process the uploaded data.
Hierarchical processing: Campaigns are processed first, followed by ad groups, and then other child entities in the order of their hierarchy.
Completion status: Upon completion, the system will update the status of the action and report back the names of the processed entities.
Amazon interface update: During processing, records on the Amazon interface may show as “incomplete” since they are processed in a hierarchical order.
File format
Only CSV format is acceptable for uploads.
Upload processing time
The upload may take some time to be reflected in the logs. Avoid resubmitting the file multiple times; wait for the logs to update the status (success or failed) before reporting any issues.
Often, launch errors are due to inaccuracies in campaign dates. Ensure that:
The date format is correct (MM/DD/YYYY).
The date is not set in the past.
It's important to note that the "Bulk Upload" feature is currently only available for Sponsored Products campaigns. This limitation is due to the specific requirements and complexities associated with SD and SB campaigns, which are not yet fully integrated into the Advertising Beast's bulk uploads functionality.
Sponsored Brands (SB) and Sponsored Display (SD) launches must still be processed directly through the Amazon interface or Amazon's proprietary bulk uploads, which you can consult on the advertising advanced tools center:
Specialized ASIN structure: The "one-asin-structure" tab presents an optional structure designed to maximize targeting efficiency, particularly useful in harnessing the potential of the app's search terms report. In this structure, each ad group contains only one ASIN and is named after that ASIN. This approach simplifies the process of identifying and targeting specific products within your campaigns. As an additional benefit, this template harnesses the power of term harvesting: when adding search terms and selecting the option "," the system intelligently recognizes the ASIN label in the ad group name; it then automatically targets all ad groups named after that specific ASIN, subject to the filters set for your campaigns and ad groups.
