# Update ad group default bid

"Update default bid" is a feature that allows you to modify the bid amount for one or more ad group records simultaneously. It consists of various [parameters](/managing-advertising-accounts/modules/bulk-manager/ad-groups/update-ad-groups/update-ad-group-default-bid/ad-group-bidding-parameters.md)—update options and boundaries—providing a flexible framework for your bidding strategies.

To update ad group default bids:

* [x] Select the ad group records you wish to update using the checkboxes in the data table.
* [x] Click on "Update" in the actions bar.
* [x] In the dialog, check the "Update Default Bid" checkbox.
* [x] Select the bid parameters for the update operation.
* [x] Click "Apply" to finalize the changes.
