# Disabling accounts from advertising
To prevent data indexing for a specific account, follow the steps below:
* [x] Visit the "accounts" page in the manager.
* [x] Select the account(s) to be disabled from advertising.
* [x] In the actions bar, select the option "update custom fields" in the "actions/edit" button.
* [x] In the advertising section, check "update advertising" and uncheck "advertising", then apply your changes on the lower right button.

Successfully disabled accounts will display the "false" status under the advertising column. To verify the status change, reload the accounts page.
